Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix came in second place in the 200 meter sprint on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and was then accepted into University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her competitions.
