Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that moment. At her first attempt and placing within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. One year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of the events.
