Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on December 2, 1968), is an American actress. Her performances include daytime television, episodic guest performances, and television-produced movies. Sofer was given the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, from 2013 to 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) Professor of Psychology, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. But, by the time Sofer was five years old, they lived in Western Pennsylvania. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was a rabbi of Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she attended Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Sofer first played Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of a band. But her first acclaim part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91).
